CAREERS
Employees are regularly asked what they like most about working at Texas
Children’s. Their answers typically emphasize our mission of
providing the finest possible pediatric patient care, education and
research. They also enjoy challenging responsibilities and opportunities
for growth and learning.
As a teaching hospital for Baylor College of Medicine, Texas Children’s
has a high standard of learning and achievement for all employees.
Employees set professional development goals to continually sharpen their
skills and enrich their workplace. In fact, learning begins the moment a
new employee arrives.

Everyone here was supportive of my schooling, and I received
great benefits, from tuition reimbursement to a book
scholarship. Texas Children’s understood education
was a major goal for me."

Texas Children’s Learning Academy provides high-quality training
right here on our campus. Three tracks – Pride in Performance for all
employees, Family-Centered Care for clinical staff and High-Performance
Leadership for leaders – ensure targeted training and development for
all our employees.
Employees also are encouraged to seek outside learning and networking
opportunities. We offer generous financial support to encourage continuous learning.
We believe there’s an art to caring for children and families that
goes beyond science. Programs are available to help nurses without
pediatric backgrounds make the transition into a rewarding new experience.
