Parking lots and garages near Texas Children's Hospital are operated by the Texas Medical Center Parking Services. Parking is available at the following Texas Medical Center facilities:

Garage 1
On Fannin between Texas Children’s Hospital and Methodist Hospital. Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Garage 2
On the corner of Holcombe and Richard J.V. Johnson Ave. Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Garage 12
Under the West Tower at 6621 Fannin Street, entrance via Fannin Street. Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Garage 16
Under the Clinical Care Center at 6701 Fannin Street, entrance via Fannin Street to Bates. Open 5 days a week, Monday through Friday from 5 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Cost for garage parking
Garages 1, 2, 12 and 16 charge $2 for the first 20 minutes with gradual increases up to $12 per 24-hour period. Multiple day parking passes with in-and-out privileges are available at the garage pay stations by the elevator lobby in Garage 12 and on the B2 level of Garage 16.  Passes are valid for Garage 12 and 16 only.

Prepaid  Value SmartChip for $52 – $60 in parking value; a discount of 13%

The $52 SmartChip  is activated upon first entry to a TCH garage and has no expiration date. . The SmartChip allows in-and-out privileges and deducts a maximum of $12 each calendar day (midnight to midnight) used.

PrepaidValue SmartChip for $100 - $115 in parking value; a discount of 15%

The $100  SmartChip is also activated upon first entry to a TCH Garage and expires when remaining value is depleted.  The SmartChip will debit a maximum of $12 each calendar day (midnight to midnight) used and allows in-and-out privileges.

Discounted Offsite Parking

The South Extension Parking Lot (Brown Lot) offers additional parking via Shuttle Services, and is located at 1522 S. Braeswood and William C. Harvin Blvd. The maximum fee is $6 a day. To get to Texas Children's, ride the white Metro shuttle free of charge. The shuttle does not operate on weekends.

You may also park in Metro’s Fannin South Lot, which is located on Fannin St. just outside the 610 loop behind Sam’s Club.  The parking fee is $3 and to get to Texas Children’s, ride the Metro Rail for $1.25 each way and exit the train at the Dryden/TMC stop.   

Valet Parking
Valet parking is available for Texas Children’s Hospital at the West Tower entrance 24 hours a day, seven days a week and at the Clinical Care Center from 5:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday. There is a flat $13 charge for each 24-hour period. Once your vehicle is parked, there is no in-and-out access to the garage.

Patient and visitor parking and patient drop-off
Self-parking and Valet parking in the West Tower and Clinical Care Center is reserved exclusively for patients, parents and visitors.

Staff in Guest Services at Texas Children's is available to answer questions 24 hours a day, seven days a week and can be reached at 832-824-7827.
