The Texas Children's Adolescent Medicine Clinic specializes in medical care for teenagers and young adults 10-25 years of age. The clinic provides general medical, gynecologic and counseling services, and the Eating Disorders Clinic resides within the adolescent  clinic.

The Eating Disorders Clinic offers evaluation and
management in the treatment of children, adolescents and young adults suffering from eating disorders, including anorexia, bulimia and binge eating disorders. These services
include medical care, individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy and nutritional counseling. The interdisciplinary team meets weekly to coordinate patient care.

Referrals to the Adolescent Medicine Clinic include teenagers with common gynecologic problems, such as sexually transmitted diseases, birth control or dysfunctional uterine bleeding. Chronic fatigue and chronic pain syndrome, such as chronic headache, chronic abdominal pain and depression, are also commonly evaluated and treated. The interdisciplinary staff also works closely with dietitians, individual and family therapists and physicians to treat the range of nutrition problems from eating disorders to obesity.
