Texas Children’s Spina Bifida Clinic
The Spina Bifida
Clinic is a
multidisciplinary program that includes several specialty services: orthopaedics, neurosurgery, pediatrics, physical medicine and
rehabilitation, and urology.
Patients are seen initially by all of
the services. Frequency of follow-up is determined on an individual
basis, so at a follow-up appointment, patients may be seen by only
part of the team. Nutrition, social service and physical therapy are
also available. Patients are seen through self- and physician
referrals.
