The 2009 Fetal Center Family Reunion, held October 3rd, reunited former patients of the Texas Children’s Fetal Center with the physicians, surgeons and staff who cared for them - before some of them were even born! Guests enjoyed great food, festive music, face painting and were entertained by a juggler. (more)

Young Garrett, about to celebrate his first birthday, overcame life-threatening challenges even before his birth. At 22 weeks into his mother Jan's pregnancy with Garrett, the pair underwent a rare, delicate open-fetal operation at Texas Children's Fetal Center. (more)

Michelle and Tim are trained to look for the absolutes – he is an engineer, she a former math teacher – but when their daughter was diagnosed with a severe congenital diaphragmatic hernia, they were faced with uncertainty.

Their perseverance and search for answers on the Internet brought them to the Texas Children's Fetal Center, where their baby had lifesaving surgery soon after birth. (more)
