		Fetal Center Family Reunion The 2009 Fetal Center Family Reunion, held October 3rd, reunited former patients of the Texas Children’s Fetal Center with the physicians, surgeons and staff who cared for them - before some of them were even born! 		Lauren diagnosed before birth, lymphatic malformation or giant neck mass Little Lauren has been extraordinary from the time she was born. Diagnosed with lymphatic malformation — more commonly known as a giant neck mass — even before she was born, Lauren’s birth and subsequent growth is a story of medical innovation carried out by surgeons and their support staff at the Texas Children's Fetal Center. 		Garrett M. diagnosed before birth, congenital cystic adenomatoid malformation (CCAM) Young Garrett, about to celebrate his first birthday, overcame life-threatening challenges even before his birth. At 22 weeks into his mother Jan's pregnancy with Garrett, the pair underwent a rare, delicate open-fetal operation at Texas Children's Fetal Center. (more)

		Theresa diagnosed before birth, hernia of the diaphragm Michelle and Tim are trained to look for the absolutes – he is an engineer, she a former math teacher – but when their daughter was diagnosed with a severe congenital diaphragmatic hernia, they were faced with uncertainty. Their perseverance and search for answers on the Internet brought them to the Texas Children's Fetal Center, where their baby had lifesaving surgery soon after birth. (more)
