PROGRAM FOR MULTIPLES
The
Program for Multiples
at Texas Children's Fetal Center is a consultative service
offering genetic counseling, fetal imaging and nutritional
guidance to women pregnant with 2 or more babies.
The only
program of its kind, it
provides expert insight during your babies' most crucial time of
development.
One-day consultation
Our experts work with you to develop
a customized health and nutrition plan for you and your babies and
to identify potential risk factors and early complications associated with
multiples. Your same-day consultation will include:

Comprehensive
ultrasound – an
enhanced ultrasound to determine key markers for potential risk conditions

Genetic
counseling and testing –
conducted in association with certified genetic counselors at
Baylor College of Medicine

Personalized
nutritional assessment
– a personalized nutrition plan
based specifically on your needs and created by a registered
dietitian

Maternal-fetal
medicine consultation –
a comprehensive assessment outlining potential complications and
a customized pregnancy
guide provided by a maternal-fetal specialist
The Program for
Multiples is built on evidence-based research and proven practices
in maternal-fetal medicine and is designed to complement the regular
prenatal care provided by your primary physician. It is not intended
to replace normal obstetric care.
You may self-refer or request a referral from your physician or prenatal care provider.
The Program for
Multiples at Texas Children's Fetal Center typically sees patients
during the first
10-18 weeks of pregnancy. We accept most insurance plans.
